Alexander Altonji
I am currently an adjunct professor of liberal studies at New York University and an adjunct professor of philosophy at Fordham University. I hold a PhD in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research, where I wrote my dissertation on what it means to be responsible to another person in Stephen Darwall, K. E. Løgstrup, Emmanuel Levinas, and Stanley Cavell. My research and teaching investigate how intellectual puzzles arise in the history of thought. While I have published on Stanley Cavell, Ludwig Wittgenstein, and Emmanuel Levinas, my immediate interests include philosophy of technology, aesthetics, and Continental philosophy.
